Get me some energy!

I am going to tell you- I love it when I GET UP AND MOVE! I  love it when I HAVE THE ENERGRY TO DO SO.

So I thought I would give you a few ideas of what types of things you can put into your body (OTHER THAN ACE) to give you a little energy through out the day.
  •  Protein- you have to have protein with out it- you may feel tired, or sleepy. Legumes, vegetables, nuts, seeds, tofu, eggs, mil and milk products, meat, poultry and fish these are all great types of protein you may try to eat one or more daily. Protein is needed to BUILD MUSCLE such as before a work out... Great time to take in some protein before burning those calories- MOST ADULTS GET MORE THAN ENOUGH PROTEIN NEEDED PER DAY.
---Women ages 19-76 need 46 grams of protein per day.
  •  WATER- oh ICE COLD WATER is the best thing in the world- it is naturally occurring and so good for your skin, your body is over 75% of water. As you lose weight you want to keep that skin tight- help with elasticity in the skin and will help with stretch marks (meaning not be as noticeable). Water helps you metabolize faster and helps keep you hydrated. SAFELY you can drink 64 oz (as recommended) up to 1/2 your body weight (in ounces) a day. This is just such a help and really helps keep you fuller feeling all day long.---On a  side note- MANY PEOPLE do not get enough water to drink daily. Most think if their stomach is growling they are hungry- next time it happens try drinking some water!
  •
  •  Carbohydrates ARE NOT BAD! you need them- now you can limit them and eat less of them because your body does not require an OVERLOAD of them, but you need carbohydrates daily.  There are carbohydrates in vegetables, fruits, breads, cereals, grains, milk, <<<those are the good kinds!  The bad carbohydrates are the ADDED SUGARS in cookies, cakes and sweetened drinks.

  • Dietary fats- yes the wrong types of these can suck the energy out of you. your total fat intake should be less than 25%-30% per day. (WHEEW I bet if I followed that rule for 2 weeks would drop another 10 pounds!) Fats are essential for natural body functioning. Trans fats, Saturated Fats and Cholesterol are the bad guys in this picture. The good guys ( or better guys) are poly saturated fats and mono saturated fats.

Eating a decent amount and what is good for your body as far as calories go will help keep you energized and moving all day- and if you are feeling a little sluggish drink more water (quickest least expensive way to boost your metabolism naturally)

What is Saba Pomegranate?
--- Well this is just an amazing product. I have taken this for a while and then stopped and as winter is just around the corner (well it is!!!) I have been thinking more and more about this product!  I have used this instead of a "replinishing drink" after a super tough work out.  I have used this while having a cold/flu like symptoms and as soon as I drink it- I felt alot better. This is all natural product that has helped many health issues. Some people with Fibromialgia take it as well as people with adhd and depression symptoms.

The secret to Saba Pomegranate is Adaptogens - They were discovered in the 1940s and have since been prized for their ability to help the body maintain optimum health thanks to their sustaining, invigorating and stress-fighting properties. They’re plant-based, so think of them as natural resources for nutrition — mining them for healthy living requires an experienced hand that knows precisely which substances to combine in precisely the right way at precisely the right time.-Saba home website.

Saba means 7 and Dr Brekman created Saba by combining in just the right way these ingredients to help with amazing health benefits.

Pomegranate Fruit

Seems these days you suddenly see pomegranates everywhere. And with very good reason. In a society that increasingly demands healthier, more versatile food choices that taste great, pomegranate consistently delivers — time and time again.

For starters, the pomegranate juice in Saba is rich in antioxidants, which help protect the body from the formation of free radicals. Free radicals are groups of atoms that can cause damage to cells, weakening the immune system and leading to various degenerating diseases like heart disease and cancer. Red wine, green tea, orange and cranberry juices — studies reveal that none of them carry an antioxidant power equal to that found in pomegranates.

Even before it hit the bright lights in the produce aisle, the pomegranate has been trusted for centuries for its medicinal and nutritional value. Fortunately, thanks to Saba, a tasty and convenient twist on this ideal addition to your daily diet can be right within easy reach.

As if fighting free radicals wasn’t reason enough to make Saba part of your everyday routine, pomegranate has also been found by scientists and nutritionists to:
  • Deliver vitamins A, B and C, as well as tannins, oxalic and ellagic acids
  • Positively impact hypertension
  • Help tone the heart, liver and kidneys
  • Provide natural anti-viral, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial benefits
