The geranium variety Pelargonium odorantissimum contains essential oils that provide an array of health benefits. Extracted from the plant's stem and leaves, the oils are used as an astringent to improve skin and muscles, as a cytophylactic to promote healthy cell growth and as an antibacterial oil to prevent infection in cuts and wounds. Other uses for geranium essential oil are as a deodorant, tonic, diuretic and a cicatrisant to fade away scars and other spots on the skin.-E How MOM
Nutritionally, the natural element germanium has been known to aid in the prevention of cancer and AIDS. Certain compounds of germanium have toxic effects against certain bacteria. In its organic form, germanium is being hailed as one of the greatest new developments in the nutritional treatment of cancer. The estimated daily intake for germanium is 1 mg. Germanium has been reported to improve the immune system, boost the body's oxygen supply, make a person feel more energetic, and destroy damaging free radicals. Germanium also protects against radiation.Germanium facilitates the movement of oxygen across cellular membranes to deliver oxygen into the cells. Germanium has been used to treat depression, arthritis, vision problems, elevated blood pressure, heavy metal poisoning, and cancer.-Dr. Janet Starr Hull
In ACE- it is listed as 1,3 dimethylpentylamine HCI- defined as a weak stimulant first trademarked under the name of "forthane"as a nasal decongestant. The trademark has ended but the popularity of this product has maintained its popularity. 1,3-dimethylamylamine (dmaa) works by mimicking norepinephrine in the body. This means that it acts in a very similar way to caffeine with users feeling a boost in energy and focus. It seems to bring about most of the positives effects of caffeine without the negative side effects.
Funnily enough, it was originally developed as a nasal decongestant, until people obviously realised the stimulant qualities meant it had many other uses.
In ACE this is seen as a trace mineral complex.
The supplement called spirulina consists of one or more members of a family of blue-green algae. The plants are shaped in a spiral type way as they grow- hence the name. It contains B vitamins, beta carotene, calcium, iron, magnesium, maganese, potassium, and zinc. Spirulina is a rich source of protein. but you'd have to eat an awful lot of spirulina capsules to obtain a significant amount of protein this way.Researchers studying spirulina's effects on health have used a variety of doses, ranging from 1 to 8.4 g daily. One small double-blind trial did find evidence that a blue-green algae called Chlorella pyrenoidosa might be useful for fibromyalgia. Evidence from animal studies, preliminary human trials and one small double-blind, placebo-controlled study suggests that spirulina or other forms of algae might improve cholesterol profile.Very preliminary evidence hints that spirulina may help prevent cancer. Test tube and animal studies suggest that spirulina might have some activity against the HIV, but much more research needs to be done before we could say that spirulina is helpful against HIV infection. A blind study was done on weight loss and spirulina-However, while individuals taking 8.4 g of spirulina daily lost weight, the difference between the spirulina group and the placebo group was not statistically significant . Larger and longer studies are needed to establish whether spirulina is indeed an effective treatment for obesity.

( the amounts of these products are listed in ACE however the actual doseage amount is not specificly listed. ) Being the allowances are pretty vague I will say that the amounts of these two are very low doses in ACE.

Chromium
Chromium polynicotinate is an ionic substance used in some nutritional supplement products. It appears in products that are referred to as a Medical food used for nutritional support for conditions associated with Diabetes II. The product is also known as niacin-bound chromium, as referred to in an article about hydroxycut published by the Department of Physiology and Biophysics of the Georgetown University.
Chromium is a metal. It is called a "trace element" because very small amounts are needed for human health. Chromium is used to improve blood sugar control in people with prediabetes, type 1 and type 2 , and high blood sugar due to taking steroiods. Also used for depression, polycystic ovary syndrome, lowering "bad" cholesterol, and raising good cholesterol in people taking heart medications called beta blockers. Some people try chromium for body conditioning such as weightloss, increasing muscle and decreasing body fat. Chromium is also proven to help in improving athletic performance and increase energy. Chromium was discovered in France in the late 1790s, but it took until the 1960s before it was recognized as being an important trace element.
The chromium polynicotinate supplement has few side effects when used at a safe dosage of 50 to 200 mcg per day. Some moderate users of chromium polynicotinate (not exceeding 400 mcg per day) have reported insomnia, difficulty sleeping, shifts in mood and irritability. The Cell Health Makeover website states that when used in excess (taking more than 1,000 mcg per day), chromium polynicotinate causes serious problems with the liver and kidneys, such as kidney failure and liver disfunction. When compared to the various other forms of chromium (such as picolinate), polynicotinate has markedly fewer side effects because it is linked to niacin which is required for its functioning in the body - this prevents chromosome damage.
Taking chromium with orange juice or other foods rich in vitamin C helps your body absorb the chromium.Increase your chances for losing weight with chromium picolinate by incorporating 30- to 60-second rest periods between exercises during your workouts.Increase the intensity of your aerobic exercise periodically for up to a minute during your workouts. These occasional "sprints" have been shown to burn much more fat than "steady state" exercising.Train with weights at least twice a week when using chromium picolinate. Chromium's effect on metabolism is stronger when the supplement is coupled with strength training.Increase the amount of broccoli, green beans, whole grains, peanut butter, plums, tree nuts and potatoes that you eat during the week to safely and naturally increase your body's supply of chromium.
2 Capsules of ACE contain 240 mcg of Chromium.
