Saba Fit Kit Review!

SO I recieved my Saba fit kit. As a distributor or preferred customer you can get this at only $129!! Now before you go saying THAT IS ALOT OF MONEY_ I thought the same thing and I work as a distributor for the company I was not so sure how it would be. So when I got mine I was super excited and had to look at everything. My kids and I do love to work out BUT its not always feesable go to the gym especially here of late. To where popping in a video or even memorizing some exercises may be easy enough to do on my own. I personally LOVE dancing. Zumba is something I would do 7 days a week if I could. BUT the videos leave me feeling a little insecure about it. To where a real class is alot of fun! I opened the box to find this- I was like for real? That does not look worth the money!

So I started pulling every thing out! and then blew up the ball with the air hose you see and opened the black bag- full of resistance bands.

To my surprise there were 5 resistance bands that hook on the door any one of 3 ways to help you with arms legs butt and other types of exercises. The door hook hanger as well this thing just slides behind the door and you attach your resistance bands to it. And then the blue circle- OK this looks funny in this picture but is is placed above my knees and I attempted to do a squat! FORGET THE THIGH MASTER! Whew. Then I reluctantly opened the video this is going to be TOO HARD I mean look at the people on the video... TO MY SURPRISE AGAIN! There are over 100 guided exercises in this 2 pack dvd set!  They teach you how to use these. NOW I am serious- why would youi pay a gym membership if you had the opprotunity to take your go any where gym with you?  Did I tell you the ball has a foot pump and with it has a thing to help you DEFLATE your ball so you can keep it up and not worry about getting holes in it?

\Now due to copy right issues I am going to not post the screen shots of what the video says but there are DAILY work outs starting with day one and working your way to a more advanced state. There are work outs showing you how to do every thing and then simpler things you can do as well. This is one of the best things I have seen in a while- I mean some of these exercises have helped me already feel a differenec in ONE time! I use machines at the gym and I use the classes and weights. But this by far is something I see my self and others getting a hold of and keeping for a long time! if you are interested you just need to email Junetta@lovemyace.com and ask for a Saba fit kit! It retails at $149 or you can get a discount on it and all our products the discount price for this is $129.00  for distributors and preferred customers. Changing lives one at a time and we are here to help! Thank you for reading my review and I hope you enjoy!

There are also free work outs offered by this couple on you tube. you can check out Nita Better Body at any time- here is one of her work out videos.

Do you believe that "Pain" is normal in work outs?

Well- I think it is definitely worth looking into- don't you? I mean we have all heard "no pain no gain" in the past- who said that anyways?   I am wanting to learn more about how our bodies function as a whole- I want to know why I ache and is there something I can do naturally with out pain medications and with out a ton of stuff to take daily? Well learning about my body and how it functions better will help me to better understand and so I am hoping it helps you too.

**When talking about "no pain no gain" -IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU NEED TO FEEL PAIN DURING THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR WORK OUT. On the contrary you should not be exercising at a level of pain ever. Now this does not mean that you may be uncomfortable at times or even feeling discomfort -this is OK.
**Also if you feel you cannot continue a work out or you feel you may pass out or you feel something else that is just not right- then it is too difficult for you and you may increase risk of injury to yourself by being overly exhausted and not being able to handle that kind of work out at the time.
**Don't try to kill yourself with exercise- really work smarter at it not harder ( hence the entire reason for my blog! )

  1. BACK PAIN- What causes back pain? What should I avoid? What can I do to exercise?
               A. Causes:  Muscular strains, arthritis, soft tissue injuries, disc disease
               B. Avoid exercises like Golf, Tennis, running, bowling, overhead lifting,
leg press machine or anything else that causes it it "hurt more".
               C. TRY THESE INSTEAD: walking, stretching, protected ab exercises, swimming,
yoga, Pilate's, and also be sure to wear proper shoes for your sport (they are made that
                     way for a reason)

    2. SHOULDER PAIN-
               A. Causes: often caused by impingement- this is when the space between your rotator cuff
muscles  and your bone on the top of your shoulder narrows causing pinched tendons
Arthritis and Bursitis can also cause shoulder pain.
               B. Avoid: Overhead exercises, past times which could cause a flare up ( painting or
gardening when done for long periods of time)
               C. TRY THESE INSTEAD: front shoulder raises instead of overhead presses, and lateral
raises, also stop sports that include large arm movements such as tennis and golf.
    3. SHIN SPLINTS-
               A. Causes- usually by an increase of running, mileage or intensity, when either walking or
                    running
               B. Avoid: running frequently, especially if in pain, but you don't have to give it up all
together. you can just do it less often or less intense until you can build up to it
               C. Try this instead: Cross Training with other cardio exercises like swimming and biking
that do not require repetitive impact.
   4. NECK PAIN-
               A. Causes: Osteoarthritis, cradling a phone between shoulder and head, degenerated disks,
carrying a heavy bag or purse over one shoulder. poor posture while sitting at a desk.
               B. AVOID: some yoga positions (like standing on your head) -haha like i can do that any
way! Also avoid running and other high impact type things that could cause jarring or
                    pressure on back and neck.
              C. Try this instead: walking, cycling, Pilate's and yoga poses that do not require pressure on
                   your neck or head.
   5. PLANTAR FICIITIS
               A. Caused by tight calf muscles, foot arch problems and long distance running and can be
caused by sudden eight gain as well.
                B. Avoid: Don't change anything other than the fact of hard or harsh impact such as
                     running.
               C. Instead try: an elliptical trainer, or bicycle, -just because these do not cause same stress to
                   the foot.
   6. TWISTED ANKLE-
               A. causes: usually by rolling or twisting of ankle in an awkward position- that stretches or
tears the ligaments in the ankle.. - In my case- just clumsy!
               B. Avoid: Jogging and running or any other repetitive impact should be avoided for a few
                   days after the initial injury.
               C. try this instead- focus on upper body exercises, or swimming or stationary bike.

7. SWOLLEN KNEE-
              A. Causes: tears in the ACL or Meniscus( cartilage behind the knee cap) and most pain
comes from behind the knee cap.
              B. Avoid: anything that cause the pain in the knee or behind the knee,
              C. Instead try swimming, water aerobics, yoga and Pilate's also do hip exercises such as leg
                     lifts.

I hope this shows a little more about what we can do to care for our bodies if we are having pain and understand WE DO NOT have to just lay around... also there are products available for these types of Aches and pains and want to introduce those to you now.

Does your day job cause you work out injuries?

With the changes of my mothers health coming on so rapidly and harshly- I decided I would try to figure out "sports related or work out related injuries" and how to prevent them. Now I know to cover them all at one time- well that is not going to be easy- but I also know that learning and educating myself daily towards a newer healthier me is also part of my "mental training"...If you think its all physical-WRONG and if you thing it is all related to energy-WRONG and if you think it is all about what you eat day in and out -WRONG! I mean lets get real if we have to think about it- then it is not easy... I love my new life but I want to continue my healthy lifestyle and changes and work towards doing even better in the future and teaching my kids how to do better too.

So Part of that is not just EXERCISING- but knowing what are the most common injuries people create for themselves... I mean what can we do to make sure we are getting the benefits of the "high intensity Cardio" with out the long lasting effects of an injury?

--According to many sites the main INJURIES occur because people are not doing what we are taught how to do even in elementary school gym classes ( Oh I forgot! many schools find that kind of thing unnecessary any more!)

Lest first talk about the MOST DANGEROUS places to get an injury-- GYM OR FITNESS CENTER, SCHOOL, UNKNOWN AND HOME are your choices... and you guess it HOME  is where most work out injuries happen!

Now what parts of the body do you think are injured the most? First, the wrists are the most injured part of the body- because of pinching nerves while doing push ups, pull ups, lifting weights and even boxing with a bent wrist. Second is your HEAD! OK why are we harming ourselves in our heads while working out? I can only think of either falling on your head while doing yoga poses  or even dropping weights on your head- THAT WOULD HURT!!! The third most injured part is your ankle and foot. Then your Elbow then your upper legs.

First I am going to look at fitness issues with the daily sit down job- not just talking over weight here- talking about any one that sits at a desk all day looking at a computer.  *--According to Justin Price, MA at San Diego and owns BIOMECHANICS ( a healthy work out facility)--He mentions that because of looking at computers all day long we tend to hunch our shoulders and lean forward. This can cause problems with the balance in our feet and ankles and that by our posture being off- actually he goes on to say the "entire skeletal system can be off balance because of this". I guess that is why we do all those core strengthening exercises. He blames our poor postures for the wanting to "lean forward" and put more weight towards the front of your bodies. And recommends to combat this problem to wear good tennis shoes with lower heels and with walking supports to help you stand straighter. He also blames those desk jobs for the pain in the knees.. his explanation is we sit all day and wear dress shoes when we are up walking around then we decide to go to kick boxing or some other type of exercise class, with our feet being off balance it is only natural that the pressure has to go some where- and naturally it will attack the knee. Our hips knees and legs and ankles and feet are all connected and if one has a small pain or issue- realize it early on so it can be treated properly- also I personally recommend that you get your back checked out too. I am learning a lot of things about our spine and the way that one area of our body connects and allows more damage than what we would think it could.

The Next area he talks about is YOUR LOWER BACK! Guess what he attributes that to? YEP your desk JOB! When you sit rounded in the upper back all day- your upper back does not have the strength to lift and support the weight or job you are giving it to do. Naturally just as in your legs the pain will become stronger in your lower back where you are trying to support all the weight or pressure since your upper back cant.

Carpal Tunnel-- OK what causes this? Actually this is brought up because it causes shoulder pain. Again, sitting in poor posture all day and not keeping your wrists from pinching nerves or closing off those veins causing tingling sensation or even sharp shooting pains all the way up your arms. THEN go try and work out as you do lifts of weights and other arm exercises, you will notice again your shoulder will take the brunt of the beating from that... ( and although personally I deal with this I am just putting pieces together! )

Next place is your NECK!  your neck? yes your NECK! if your spine is out of alignment and so is your hip and shoulder, um...yest its starting to come together. You cannot see the screen so you straighten your back and pull your stomach in to keep from hunching what is the next thing you do? PERSONALLY the "turtle neck strain" you know you sit there pull your shoulders back and move your neck up actually try it- YOU WILL FEEL THE STRAIN IN THE BACK- AND THEN - DON'T DO THAT! Its bad for your neck! DUH!

All in all I see the trend here- if you are not taking care of our bodies (when we are not exercising) we will not be able to protect our bodies from injury. They are not going to drop 50 pounds in one day- it will take time to build proper muscles, change postures and work on your bodies core muscles and REMIND yourself...

I will be following up with other injuries and ways to prevent them. --I hope you enjoy this short series!

Chromium

Chromium polynicotinate is an ionic substance used in some nutritional supplement products. It appears in products that are referred to as a Medical food used for nutritional support for conditions associated with Diabetes II. The product is also known as niacin-bound chromium, as referred to in an article about hydroxycut published by the Department of Physiology and Biophysics of the Georgetown University.

Chromium is a metal. It is called a "trace element" because very small amounts are needed for human health.  Chromium is used to improve blood sugar control in people with prediabetes, type 1 and type 2 , and high blood sugar due to taking steroiods. Also used for depression, polycystic ovary syndrome, lowering "bad" cholesterol, and raising good cholesterol in people taking heart medications called beta blockers. Some people try chromium for body conditioning such as weightloss, increasing muscle and decreasing body fat. Chromium is also proven to help in improving athletic performance and increase energy. Chromium was discovered in France in the late 1790s, but it took until the 1960s before it was recognized as being an important trace element.

The chromium polynicotinate supplement has few side effects when used at a safe dosage of 50 to 200 mcg per day. Some moderate users of chromium polynicotinate (not exceeding 400 mcg per day) have reported insomnia, difficulty sleeping, shifts in mood and irritability. The Cell Health Makeover website states that when used in excess (taking more than 1,000 mcg per day), chromium polynicotinate causes serious problems with the liver and kidneys, such as kidney failure and liver disfunction. When compared to the various other forms of chromium (such as picolinate), polynicotinate has markedly fewer side effects because it is linked to niacin which is required for its functioning in the body - this prevents chromosome damage.

Taking chromium with orange juice or other foods rich in vitamin C helps your body absorb the chromium.Increase your chances for losing weight with chromium picolinate by incorporating 30- to 60-second rest periods between exercises during your workouts.Increase the intensity of your aerobic exercise periodically for up to a minute during your workouts. These occasional "sprints" have been shown to burn much more fat than "steady state" exercising.Train with weights at least twice a week when using chromium picolinate. Chromium's effect on metabolism is stronger when the supplement is coupled with strength training.Increase the amount of broccoli, green beans, whole grains, peanut butter, plums, tree nuts and potatoes that you eat during the week to safely and naturally increase your body's supply of chromium.
2 Capsules of ACE contain 240 mcg of Chromium.
